Alistapart.com did about 5 million hits in two and half days and it did that on the default *4* dispatch.fcgi processes. Four. 4.

(As an aside: I'm still unsure about the ALA redesign. Don't get me wrong, it looks great and the attention to detail is fantastic, but something isn't clicking for me shrug)
