Garrett, thanks for putting this up. It reminds me of when I used to work in the OUM as a student. I can practically smell the musty old place now - smell of stone - dusty marble I think. And those wonderful metal columns with the gaslights on top - what a great building. I miss the swifts, and the echoing staircase.

I worked on the Red Lady - cabinet to the far right of entrance. Not much left of him, the dinosaur is more photogenic! Friends of mine worked on the mammoth tusks - there was an exhibit by the dino but it's probably gone now.

Triggered a great memory, thanks.

Thanks for dropping by Steph. I missed the Red Lady when I was there - that's what I'm like when there are dinosaurs around, completely blinkered - but I'm going back in a couple of weeks so I'll be sure to check her/him/it out.

If you're in a reminiscing mood there are a few more of my pictures of the museum up on flickr. It's a pretty popular place on flickr according to this search *:)

Right, back to building your site!
